Villa San Andrea, Tuscany

Ok so we only drove 26 km out of Florence but it seems like we changed countries. The scenery is spectacular mountains olive trees grape vines and every now and then a castle pops up. Fabulous! We found the place with no problems and after following the receptionist in her car up a goat track we found out apartment. She is showing us around and into the first bathroom and there is dirty towels on the floor and the bed hasn't been made up. She was so funny she was straight on the phone and the caretaker copped it! In a way only the Italians can ,she apologised and showed us around and asked what we would prefer to do while it was cleaned. We said we would get 'lost ' and hopefully find a grocery store and stock up. If it was ok to bring in our bags. The cleaners arrived and she ripped into them, it didn't matter that we where there. It was so funny! We weren't anywhere near as concerned as she was. So off we drove to find dome food for breaky and some dinners and snacks. Well grocery stores have some differences fruit and veg section makes you wear gloves and you are supposed to weigh and price them yourself. Guess who didn't do that. They also sell alcohol  , soooo cheap. We got our drinks for the week (they may last) food for 150 euro and the trolley was pretty damn full. So tonight dinner was....if you guessed pasta you'd be wrong.we went for pork chops mashed potato peas and corn. We keep forgetting to order sides with our main meals and they just don't come with any veg or salad.not saying they don't have them, we just forget. Dinner was great if I don't say so myself. You do get little sick of restaraunt meals, the menus repeat them selves a lot. As ours do at home too. Next meal will be Sam lee's spaghetti bol, with herbs and garlic in.it !..boyd birthday tomorrow so we let him pick what we do and we are visiting 3 towns relatively close to us since on sat we have to get up a 5 am for our balloon ride......so excited for that !!!!! Will post a few pics of the villa tomorrow and the towns we go to. Love this place it has a pool too and its on top of a mountain so the views are to die for ! It's 9 pm here and the sun is just starting to go down it will prolly be light for another hour! Great for sight seeing :)
Did I mention how much I am looking forward to breaky! Fried eggs on toast since we can't find bacon that looks like bacon. We ate a little over the crusty bread and pastries for breaky. The meat and cheese is just weird too. Salami at breaky? We will try and ring home tommorrow morn here. Or josh you can use the home phone to ring dad after school ok.
