Milan

We have had a huge day. Not any shopping done(sorry Jen) But we did manage to see enough of Milan for the little time we have here. The shopping on this street is fabulous!! Sam and I will return when we are skinny!! Not many big girls clothes around here. The shoes are fabulous if you want to fight the 20 ppl in line to try on a pair, in a tiny tiny shop mind you. Very very busy place.
We jumped on the HOHO bus thats a hop on hop off bus Josh, yesterday for a quick look at what we should see today. So we started with that again today. Sam had a rocky start last night and we didnt think she would make it but she rallied and she made the whole day with us. Considering the night she had that was a huge effort.
We hopped of the bus at the Duomo Milans biggest cathedral it is all spires and very cool. Church service was on while we walked around. Nan would have loved it! Took quite a few pics and lost Boyd lots of times, I think he took 20 more photos to my 1. After walking through it looking at the stained glass and the tombs etc we climbed to the roof and walked along it. what a fabulous view. See pics
After that we had lunch on the top of La Rinascent a shopping centre that has all labels such as Amarni D&G Gucci you name it it was in there. They even have Baby Amarni you too can take home a 4 piece suit for your baby for the sale price of 380 euro.....  Shoes for babies sooo cute but oh so dear. Lunch was fabulous i uploaded some pics to facebook. today I learnt just because a drink has the word moscato in it does not mean I should drink it!  Grappa Moscatto is like being given a glass of ouzo...not pleasant. But all our meals where fabulous. I have the beef caparcio with truffles and lettuce hearts and celery..nom nom
After lunch we jumped on the bus and headed to the Castello Sforzesco, they have a statue done by Michelange, mediaeval weapons and music instruments and all sorts of fantastic art displays. The castle has a moat around it which unfortunately is dry but it still looked cool. Those where the highlights of today we did see a lot of other stuff but not in as much detail and some of it as we drove past in a bus.
we did get a gelati in today yummy!!! We are just about to head out for dinner somewhere, hopefully not downstairs to Manwell and Evan.... Need water after today!. Did I mention how great the weather is?> 32 c and a lovely breeze I think i may come home with a tan :) :)

Ok Sick of spires yet? Oh and did I mention I am not the photographer in the family. These pics i took if you want better ones let me know and I will steal the bosses. Now some pics of the castle and some of the mediaeval weapons the knights used to use. Will load those pics in next post
